Solidarity Center Varna - ENGLISH - WHAT IS IT?

 

Why do the Solidarity Center Varna? - To spread solidarity with one another. To socialize and find people with our interests. The world is unfriendly and inhospitable enough and if we don't care it won't change for better. And we want to change it to be a better place.

 

How? 1. We are making Solidarity Center Varna, because we want to improve and activate the society in Varna, with personal example and positive activities in the city.

 

2. What is Solidarity Center Varna? It is free, self-sustaining and self-organizing space for share activities and free exchange of information.

 

3 Why the name Solidarity Center Varna? In the world similar places are called "Social center" which are socializing people from the big cities. In Bulgaria social center, is connected unfairly with non integrated poor people or with socialistic system, thats why we have changed the name. Center now represents something new for all and all kind of activities, the only rule we have is activity to be without politics or religion and to be accepted by the organizational group who are doing already different acticities there. Everybody can be also in the organizational group if he/she wants to do an activity just to type us in facebook page. The centre is not a place only for people in need but for all. Everything is constantly changing so if you have better name just suggest it, we will consider it, as with always we accept critiques, joining everything, because center is for all of us, everyone who visits it is part of the it and the solidarity spirit. 

 

4. Who are we? We are citizens of Varna, Bulgaria, who met in Facebook or in the city, without common politics or religion, (everybody can have different) or visions for life, and we are sharing space for different activities positive for the Varna, and for the people of Varna. 6. What is happening in Solidarity Center Varna? Different activities: discussions, dances: zumba, bachata, cha cha, tango, lessons: drawing, photography, computers classes, 2d,3d, yoga, movie projections, activists discussion, ecological, way of life, acting classes, guitar, piano, litriture clubProgram / Schedule: http://cal.scvarna.org In whole time: Free library, Internet, Kids place.

 

7. Is everybody welcome in the center? Yes! Regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, age or other status. 

 

8. What are the expenses of the Solidarity Centre Varna? Rent, electricity, water, internet.

 

9. How they are covered? From people involved in the center with activities and anonymous personal donations. Financing from institutions/organizations/fondations is not accepted except as a person in the dotantion box anonymously, which we have in the center. 

 

10. How the decisions are made? By direct democratic voting outdoor / public debate on site or on online organizational facebook group, which anyone can join and will be accepted if he wants to be part of organization of activities. There is no selection process for it just to have wish to participate actively in the different events or organization of the center.

 

11.Is the Solidarity center connected with religion/politics/comersial activities? NO.

 

12. How I can help? If you visit us, just enjoy us, tell friends, share activities, this post or even better invent and make activity in the center, we accept almost all. Just be happy with us:P) You can also join is in the organizational activities just ask, some volunteer about "How you can help?, how you can make activity and become a solidarity volunteer:)". You can also write in the group there will be person that will answer you as soon as possible.
